4U Academy will assist individuals and families in building education, social, community information and provide resources. Our goal is to safely create successful members of society. By brining an awareness and clearer understanding; schools, communities and families can better appreciate the impact individuals with ASD can have on our world.

AUTISM ALERT DECAL
4U Academy created a decal sticker for your car, your home or a business to indicate to law enforcement, emergency personnel that there is a someone in the car or home with autism present. Also, businesses can serve as a SAFE PLACE for those on the autism spectrum.

SOCIAL AWARENESS
4U Academy - Social Awareness & Family Enhancement (SAFE) is uniquely designed to identify and address the many issues that surround our youth and inner cities. Our focus in enhancing information, awareness and solutions to violence, bullying, discipline in schools, social stigmas and other environmental negatives that plaque our society. Our goal is Excellence in Education. By providing quality workshops, conferences, support groups or individual support, we want to prepare parents, educators, law enforcement, students and community residents with comprehensive approaches to better communicate with each other, youth and emergency personnel.
SPORTS INSTRUCTION
Coach Brent Carmichael began his coaching and mentoring after three years of playing high school basketball at United Township High School in East Moline, IL. From there he went to Olney Central Junior College in Olney IL. After junior college he accepted a scholarship to play at Division 1 at the University of Northern Iowa (UNI). At UNI he led the team in minutes played, assist, steals and rebounds. He was second in scoring his junior year. First team all-conference his junior season and second team his senior year. He went on to play professional basketball in the Continual Basketball Association (CBA) from 1986 to 1991 and overseas in 1990.
During his work and professional playing days in Rockford, IL Brent spent over 1000 hours of volunteering with the Rockford Public Schools. Rockford Park District, Special Olympics and Youth & Family Oriented Programs. Brent spent two years as the Assistant Youth Director at Pilgrim Baptist Church in Rockford.

After spending time in Rockford and Denver, CO, Brent was asked to assist John Perez (his mentor) with his sons summer basketball travel team. After one summer, the Quad City Basketball Academy (QCBA) was organized in 2000.
From 2001 to 2006 Coach Carmichael was able to build a strong presence in the Quad City, IL area and the Midwest Summer AAU Tournaments. Under his direction Brent as able to develop over 130 players on 12 teams from 16 different schools. His teams won two American Youth Basketball Tour (AYBT) National Championships in the 8th grade and High School Divisions. His high school division championship team was able to dethrone the Minnesota Icemen in who complied a 72 - 0 record over three years of Summer AAU participation.

Coach Carmichael spent two years and Ellsworth Community College as a recruiter/assistant coach. He has over 20 years coaching experience at the high school and college levels.
FUNDRAISING
4U Academy will seek to leverage both private and public resources to effectively provide information, resources, events and services for local communities. Our plan to utilize personal and professional contacts to serve as ambassadors for each of our programs.
